SANDVENTURE AQUATIC PARK
This unique waterpark is one of only four public sand-bottom, chlorinated pools remaining in Minnesota. Surrounded by a sand beach and a play area, SandVenture is the perfect place to take the whole family for beach vibes without the seaweed and guppies. SandVenture has been under construction this winter and spring for maintenance upgrades, as well as upgrades to the water features and play area and construction of a brand new concessions building that will be home to Tommy’s Malt Shop year-round.
SCAN ME FOR MORE INFO!
Some of the maintenance upgrades and new features include: ■ Fixed boardwalk spanning the width of the pool to separate the shallow end from deeper water
The 300 ft. large yellow waterslide and smaller plunge slides will remain a part of the pool. The timeline for this project’s completion continues to evolve. For news about the project and updates to the timeline, visit www.ShakopeeMN.gov/sandventure . ■ New water features in the shallow end, like those seen at splash pads ■ New jumping platform in the deep end that looks like a pirate ship ■ New playground with a pirate ship theme ■ New pool liner and all new sand, along with plumbing upgrades and new concrete curb around the pool ■ Concessions building that is twice the square footage of the old one, with space for Tommy’s Malt Shop, changing rooms, restrooms, lockers, and a community room
SANDVENTURE AQUATIC PARK
The new building will be twice the square footage of the former concession stand, with Tommy’s Malt Shop open year-round inside.
This shows a rendering of the pirate ship playground that will replace the former play area.
This rendering shows approximately what the pirate ship jumping platform will look like once installed.
