JUNE June 18 | Torch Run

Shakopee Police hosted its 21st Annual Torch Run. This four-mile event helps raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics and its summer games. June | Daycare and School Visits Shakopee Police Department welcomes several daycare and school groups throughout the year. These tours are always enjoyable and filled with very interesting questions!

JULY

July 18 | Fitness Court Grand Opening Shakopee Police competed against Shakopee Fire in a friendly fitness race to celebrate the grand opening of the new Fitness Court at Scenic Heights Park.

AUGUST

August 6 | Night to Unite Shakopee officers always have tons of fun at Night to Unite! Typically scheduled the first Tuesday of August, this event truly embodies the spirit of community collaboration and safety. Bringing neighbors, law enforcement, and local organizations together fosters stronger connections and a shared commitment to our community. August 20 | Blood Drive The department hosted the Battle of Badges blood drive with Memorial Blood Centers. The department hosts four drives each year. In 2024, 207 units were collected, which were used to save 621 lives! August 22 | Vehicle Fair Officers attended the Shakopee Community Education Vehicle Fair where kids were able to check out the squad car and visit with the officers.
