SEPTEMBER August 1 | Night to Unite Another wonderful Night to Unite celebration! Typically scheduled the first Tuesday of August, this event is designed to promote local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnership, and heighten crime and drug prevention awareness August 17 | Wheelies Family Bike Event In partnership with Shakopee Parks and Recreation as well as the Shakopee School District, Shakopee PD held this event where participants were able to complete the bike training course, bid on bikes in a silent auction, and enjoy some delicious summer treats August 26 | Bark in the Park Shakopee Parks and Rec and Shakopee PD hosted the 4th Annual Bark in the Park This fun-filled free event included multiple vendors, dog rescues, games, and lots of furry friends August 28 | Blood Drive Shakopee PD hosted a blood drive with Memorial Blood Centers, collecting 54 units total, each of which can help save three lives The department hosts four drives each year September 19 | Street Party Officers helped out at the Shakopee Community Assistance Street Party Officers had a blast serving up food, playing games, and enjoying time with our community members September 21 | Tip a Cop Officers served up a tasty Texas Roadhouse lunch and worked hard collecting donations for the Special Olympics
