Description

This project is a placeholder for reimbursement to the SMSC for the city's share of a traffic signal and intersection improvements completed in 2024. This project was advanced by Scott County at the request of the SMSC. The improvements are expected to be warranted in the future with development to the east on SMSC property and to the west, south of Valley View Road. The city's share will be 25%, with the SMSC covering the remaining 75% of the project.

Justification The improvements are expected to be needed to maintain an adequate intersection level of service and to mitigate increased safety issues.
